KP Festival Youth Orchestra
Calling all Young Musicians!
Come and play alongside the incredible musicians from the Philharmonia Cello Ensemble in an exciting performance on Sunday 25th October in the beautiful Theatre at Michael Hall School in Forest Row.
The KP Festival Youth Orchestra draws it's members from in and around Forest Row, East Sussex. Enthusiastic young musicians of all levels get together once a year to perform in the KP Music Festival alongside professional musicians. The past few years have seen memorable performances of brilliant pieces by the composer Jeff Moore and collaborations with the likes of the London Mozart Players, the European Chamber Ensemble and the actor Tama Matheson.
This year we are programming Warlock's exhilarating Capriol Suite, with parts for everyone from Grade 1 to 8 and beyond. We welcome all string instruments, as well as harps, flutes, clarinets, saxophones, oboes, bassoons, all brass instruments and percussion. If you are unsure whether your child can take part, do get in touch here.
The young musicians will need to learn their parts with their instrumental teachers well in
advance, so they can enjoy taking part in the concert and learn from and be inspired by the
professional musicians around them.
To apply, please fill in the application form and return to us at kpmusicfestival@gmail.com
We ask for a contribution of £20 towards cost for each child - this includes their free ticket to the rest of the concert.
The Festival has a small Bursary Fund that can support those who couldn't otherwise take part. Please tick the box on the application form if you would like to make use of this.
