Friends of Ashdown Music was founded in 2013 to help support music in and around Forest Row.

It is run on very simple lines: members make an annual gift and these are used to pay for expenses associated with putting on music events. In this way the organiser of the event does not bear the whole risk, and ticket prices can also be lower than they would otherwise have to be.

Since foundation we have paid out over £11,000 for hire of musical instruments, to pay musicians, to advertise musical events or to hire venues.

We are delighted to be supporting Nicoline Kraamwinkel's initiative to fund the Kidbrooke Park Music Festival and very much look forward to its return in 2023.
